I've tried different methods through the years. This method sounds great. Though too many breaks in short increments for me, is distracting. It then takes me awhile to get back in study mode. However, I'll try this method next time, as it may work better for me than I think? Thank you.

It’s great that you’re open to trying new methods! Everyone’s focus style is different, and adjusting the technique to suit your needs can make a big difference. Maybe start with slightly longer focused sessions and fewer breaks to find the right balance for you.

5 and half hours serious studying will consist of 30 mins serious studying x 11 stages which suppose to require at least 5 mins break x 11 stages (55 mins total break time instead of 30 mins as per his suggestion), cmiiw.

What I see is that everybody has the resources to be academically successful and intelligent enough to be considered a very smart person, but that society has pushed many down, has ostracized a lot, has decided that only some have the privilege to become that.

I play (easy) chess on-line for 5-10 mnts after every hour of serious reading or writing and get back to my work with some freshness.
