Whoa so simple; creating your own index in the book. Would love if new books published with an extra blank page in the front for notes!

writing dates 🗓️ makes it interesting when you revisit the book or by chance open it again and see the date written there somewhere it is somewhat like creating memories scratching on walls or tree trunks

Fantastic method! My own variation: (NN) Beginning of fragment... end of fragment. 24 The night was... into the fire. Eventually, which seldom happens, digitalize it so that you end up with a "reader's cut" of the book with your favourite excerpts.
