I have to admit I'd be p*ssed if my husband bought a house without discussing it with me and choosing the house together. Marriage is a partnership. THAT BEING SAID: The minute he said "it's all I can afford" and "you won't be making any payments for it" (or something like that) she needed to shut her whiney entitled mouth and let him show her the new home. Fake or not, I sold real estate for 10 years and it doesn't matter who's writing the check ... there's just no way in hell you're buying a house without your wife's input.

In all fairness, they should have come to terms on something together. But, yes. It would have been nice if she had been more understanding. I had the opposite problem. I had to talk my husband down from the clouds and convince him buy something that we could afford more comfortably.
