How we feeling about a potential Adley Rutschman extension at some point?

You're welcome

That’s why the deadline was an F for me. Without the extension, it’s an F.

All warm and tingly…

Without an extension this was a disaster.

Kind of have to after what they gave up, no? It's not like the Cubs selling the farm for Chapman and a ring. Adley wasn't exactly the missing piece. The extension makes it worth it, him walking makes it not 🤷‍♂️

2027: C-Rutschman 1B-Contreras 2B-Mead SS-??? 3B-Durbin LF-Anthony CF-Rafaela RF-Abreu DH-??? Story, Arias, Montaserio, Cheng -SS Duran, Casas, Yoshida, Jones, Romy - DH That'll work. Imagine Arias developing quickly & Casas returning to meet expectations? Yikes!!

Is it me or is Jahmai made for the 10

It better happen after that package

Absolutely this needs to happen. Still 28 elite defense and we gave up a huge package.

Your fate

Essential

Please and thank you

Give up that kind of prospect haul, you better sign into an extension

Is he a Boras client?

Gotta see him healthy first. This offseason would be a good bet. Buy out his final year of arb on a 7 year deal $154M. Injury safeguards and club option(s) at the end. In line with JT Realmuto '21-25 deal. Gotta show hes healthy first.

5 year extension at 18 per year

Let’s see him be healthy first

Need it now… like… NOW now

Do it

Trade doesn’t work without one

wouldn't the player be motivated to sign an extension before the lockout if he was inclined to stay

There’s a 0% chance it doesn’t get done

Has to happen sooner rather than later
