My deaf cat just screams for half an hour starting 3am like its getting beaten up. Had the police jumping the front wall aiming guns at me to check on it. After that I got an incredible deal of updating vaccines and check ups tho so I didn't really mind.

I have a deaf cat, too, and it is a tragic state. You can practically never leave the house together because sometimes when you come back the cat stands in the hallway confused and scared. Make a lot of stomping when it can't see you approaching so that it doesn't get a shock.
