@ivanabacik The state constuction company will need to rent expensive offices in Dublin city centre, at least 50 million euro per year after a 100 million fit out. Builders would be on 34 hour weeks, They will be so happy they will work extra fast. Nothing could possibly go wrong.

@ivanabacik Local authorities had direct labour organisations, i.e., construction companies & all were shut down because unions corrupted them& drove them into the ground & council management didn't know how to manage & didn't care& the costs were horrendous.DCC was one of the worst!

Constantly destroy our environment to build new houses for the billions of surplus humans around the world? That's your plan? Just keep building houses, roads, schools, hospitals, power stations, food production facilities, water purification plants, sewage plants, etc, etc to house the world? Destroy the island of Ireland to give a home to the surplus humans from over breeding nations? A project started by the Mills administration in 2011, was suspended by the Mahama administration in 2013. Since then the contractors sued govt and injuncted continuation of works. Few months ago the State Housing Company as part of efforts to complete outstanding projects got permission to resume work. 6 weeks ago work resumed. I applaud the State Housing Company as we work to get these projects resolved.
