Note the electric arc on the wand as the helicopter moves away. The same arc can form when opening a disconnect on a high voltage line with circuit breakers open on both ends. Static charge makes the work dangerous at all times. Incredible skill shown by pilot and lineman.

Blackcomb Heli was our sister company for many years, some very skilled pilots. There were many logistical issues with working in the live wire environment, not just the obvious.. we had to get comms out to these guys in the suits without zapping them.😳
