@kylemeredith Yep music is the only thing that everyone can come together to listen and enjoy…nothing like the the old music, old movies and old tv shows. Miss the good ol days. The country is a mess and don’t see it coming together anytime soon.

#JISOO: This album is really special to me, it’s the first time I've handled everything on my own, from start to finish I put so much thought into it, like, “should I go with a sound that people expect from me? Or should I surprise everyone with something totally different?” In the end, I decided to take a new path, I want people to listen to my music and think, “Wow, this is unexpected! I have no idea what she'll do next!” If I can make people feel that way, then I think I've done what l set out to do.

I love this idea from Jason Fried "Your only competition is your costs." Keep costs low, keep the team small, make stuff you want to use. You don't need the whole world: “A business is very simple. You got to make more than you spend. If you're making more than you spend, then your competition is your cost. That's what you're really in business against, how much it costs you to stay in business. It's not all the other alternatives that are on the market. You can't control what they're going to put out there, what they're going to price it at, all the things they're going to do. They're going to do what they're going to do. What I can control is how much it costs me to run my business, how much I sell my product for, and as long as I make more than I spend, I get to stay in business. And isn't that what this is all about, staying in business? That's what it's all about because I like this. I want to keep doing this. I can't keep doing it if I don't stay in business. I can't keep doing it if I make less than it costs me to make the things that I make. I want to do business with people I can trust. That’s what gets you a second meeting with me. I know how to find out if you're someone I can trust, and I can do it pretty quickly. If I have an intuitive gut feeling that I can trust you, you'll get a second meeting. And if I don't, we’ll just never talk again. I'm very, very fortunate to be able to choose where I spend my time and money, and I don't really do it for the money anymore. I don't need more money. I need more time and if I'm going to be spending my time, I'd rather be working with people I trust.
