Would’ve been a non-runner if it was a Ballydoyle favourite in the Derby.

Callum would have untucked it once loaded, all jockeys do.Blind more than likely snagged on the cheekpieces when he pulled it,one of those things there is no preemptive step for.A lot of the time, they are used in this manner for habitual slow starters, doesn’t come without a risk

Unfortunate and pejorative headline. Panel very ready to put boot in without knowing the facts. Jockey says blindfold was not tucked in but perhaps became stuck on cheek pieces. These things happen without it being ‘jockey error’. Pandering to punters? Got to blame someone? Shame

Thats Callum Shepherd for you and cries on that "he doesnt get derby rides"

To answer Ed, it shouldn't be happening in 2026. Get blindfolds in the bin. Punters shafted again

Shepherd's had that horse long enough to know it dawdles. Cost everyone another proper chance in a race that needed a clean break.

Bit like your intro yesterday

If horses are deemed non-runners when catching their hind legs on the stalls, then what about this @BHAStewards ?

Always the horse that’s been cut from 25-1 to 9-1, 10mins before the off 🙄 scandalous

Terrible for trainer and owners that put the money and the work in !
