Stan Lee got a contract worth about $1 million a year for life. Jack Kirby, who drew the first Hulk, Thor, X-Men and Fantastic Four, was paid by the page. In 1987, on Kirby's 70th birthday, they argued about it on live radio. In the video below, Lee says: "I think Jack felt he wasn't getting paid enough. Of course, that wasn't up to me." Kirby was a freelancer. No royalties. Lee wrote the dialogue, put his name on top and became the face of Marvel. On the radio, Kirby summed up his Marvel years: "You turned in your ideas, and you got your wages, and you took them home." "I did everything but put the words in the balloons," he said. Lee called in. "Every word of dialogue in those scripts was mine." "Jack, answer me truthfully," Lee said. "Did you ever read one of the stories after it was finished?" Lee says he once offered Kirby a staff job at his own salary. Kirby said no. Kirby wasn't the only one who left. Steve Ditko, who drew the first Spider-Man, had already walked out of Marvel in 1966. Kirby died in 1994. In 2009, Disney bought Marvel for $4 billion. In 2014, his children settled with Disney, days before the Supreme Court was set to look at their case. Lee lived to 95 and showed up in almost every Marvel movie. One man became the face of Marvel. The other was paid by the page. So who really built Marvel: the man who drew it, or the man who wrote it?

Woody Harrelson, "We have a guy running this country who has unearthed a lot of bigotry, a lot of racism" "And it seems to be more virulent than ever" "It seems like we're going backwards" "I wish there was a way to get rid of that son of a b*tch and get in a great president" "It doesn't seem like that's going to happen" "And I don't know how he's going to continue to ferment hate"

She paid $6,000 for his education, stood by him through a 20-year prison sentence, and helped him rebuild his life. The moment he got a job, he dumped her and body-shamed her on national TV. The audacity is unbelievable. She stood by him when he had nothing, and this is how he repaid her? She deserves so much better. The judge’s reality check at the end was necessary. What do you think? 💬 C & Q ✍️🏾 𝑳𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏’𝒕 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝒖𝒔 - 𝒊𝒕 𝒕𝒂𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒖𝒔. 𝑮𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒚.

MARI YAKA NAKA...ICHOOOOO... there's never a dull moment... HAPPINESS is my default setting...I always make sure to live my life with a SMILE that never FADES... HAPPY SUNDAY...🙏🙏🙏 “There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.” Proverbs 11:24-25 NKJV
