Spider-Man has long been known as the strongest of the “superhuman” level heroes. You have to get to god tier power to top him(think Hulk and Thor). The movies(and in fairness even the comics forget a lot) inconsistently nerf him. It’s annoying.

He has the proportionate strength of a spider relative to a human which top end a spider can lift 170 times its body weight with ease which comes to about 30k lbs for Peter

Bro literally held a ferry together like it was nothing while Cap was fighting for his life with a helicopter Spider powers are no joke

The only Avenger heroes stronger than Spider-Man are Hulk and Thor. The rest only have plot armour strength compared to Spidey.

He's not really fully human anymore. He's not just mildly enhanced, like a super soldier. He's a spider in human form as much as anything else. His power level is just below the really serious heavy hitters.

Spider-Man’s strength comes from the spider bite giving him the proportional power of an arachnid scaled to human size.

He’s about 150x stronger than a strong male athlete. Can lift 40 tons. What could he do to a person if he wanted to? He could pull them apart like a hydraulic machine. He could peel people apart like string cheese if he wanted to. This is why he could catch Cull Obsidian’s hammer and hold open Thanos’ hand. Definitely not small potato stuff.

Spider-Man’s strength is pure comic-book math spider-bite power scaled to human size. Ferry-splitting & tower-holding, Casual. Cap struggling with a chopper is adorable by comparison

Nobody really connects his crazy strength with his character Hes fully capable of ripping every villain he encounters in half like a machine, but he doesnt. Because "with great power comes great responsibility"

You don't have any idea how strong he can be. But cap is just pure leadership and commitment.

Comparatively, Spiderman is stronger but MCU plays it according to the movies. You can't really compare them but they will win and loose according to the situation. Hulk is a beast, Thor is a god but they will make them weak according to the situation. So, its the convenience.

While all those are great examples of how strong Spidey is, I always felt that his catch of the Winter Soldier's punch in Civil War was more impressive, partly because it was casual & effortless, but mainly because we already had context for how strong the Winter Soldier was.

Spider-Man is absurdly strong. He has to physically pull his punches or he would kill his opponents. Doc Ock switched bodies with Peter before and realized just how much Peter was holding back by accidentally punching Scorpions Jaw clean off.

He's a human who was bit by a radioactive spider, effectively giving him superpowers...It's kinda self-explanatory. But if you still don't get it, the secret is: ✋✨🌈☁️I-M-A-G-I-N-A-T-I-O-N☁️🌈✨🤚

I think yall just don’t realize how powerful spider man is 😭

Spider's strength is multiplicatively proportional to his size, and he's spend a long time in pulling his punches to the point where its become subconscious to him. If Peter didn't pull his punches, he could have bodied Captain America and The Winter Soldier. Effortlessly.

Frankly speaking you should go back to study Physics becoz the Helicopter was moving so it was much more heavier the 1.2 Tonnes. Also he was himself while Spider took help of his web swings. Also Spider man is more then just a superhuman like Captain America.

He's always been strong as fuck. He just actively holds back cause he's too much of a good guy and his other powers/talkativeness distract the audience from his strength. It's why Mjollnir doesn't consider him worthy.

Proportional strength to a spider

IIRC there was a comic where Doc Ock took over Peter's body. Afterwards he realized real fast that Peter was holding back his punches. Afterwards Doc Ock choice to turn his life around after that humbling.

Regular spiders are strong for their kind now quadruple or even quintuple the size of that of a spider. Spidermans strength scales with his size so thats why hes so strong.

The movies play a little fast and loose with it, but Cap is supposed to be PEAK human strength, not superhuman strength. Spider Man is just superhuman, he’s always been absurdly strong
