Answer: Shooting is a skill. A snub nose .38 is one of the least accurate pistols with one of the most challenging triggers in the pistol spectrum. The snub nose .38 is best used in close quarters combat.
S&W J frame Centennial, especially Airweight or Airlite, is an expert's gun. It's the final boss level of pistol shooting. They are not inherently inaccurate, but they do have heavy triggers, short sight radius and minimal sights, plus nasty recoil, particularly in .38 Special +P or even worse, .357 Magnum. I love them, even though it took me many years to finally learn how to shoot them well.
I don't know but I would not be firing that gun that close especially at a cement wall that might cause a ricochet.
