Not shocked at all. I've seen worse. The big guys were always the worst about it. Saw dudes that charged through hails of gunfire pass out just seeing the needle.

I had a friend in the Corps and his phobia was needles. Different people react to different things. Just help them get through it.

Some folks can’t stand the psychological effects of a needle, some can’t take the sight of blood. The mind is a weird thing.

Strange thing with folks. Who knows, maybe this guy can stand up in the middle of a firefight and lead a platoon or battalion, but needles are his one bugaboo. I haven’t found much I’m afraid of, but any more than 8’ up a ladder and I have to talk the room out of spinning.

I have no issues with needles or blood or a lot of other things people have problems with but get me on a plane and all bets are off. Hate it. Need a couple of Xanax and a whisky chaser.

Everyone has some kind of fear. We naturally see somebody exhibiting fear of something we aren’t scared of as a sign of their weakness but let’s be real that man is probably more fearless than most of us in this thread

I also don’t like needles and am a military veteran. I don’t know why but there is an intense feeling of helplessness that comes over me that a foreign substance is entering my body and I won’t have any control over it once it’s inside me. I don’t panic like that but the feeling is still there. 😣😂
