JPMorgan's JPM Coin just landed in Argentina, and it could be the start of a much bigger Latin American push. A group of Argentine banks including Banco CMF through its corporate unit QORP has begun piloting JPM Coin, JPMorgan's fiat-backed deposit token, for interbank settlement and reconciliation. The pilot is currently running without real money, using blockchain to record and reconcile transactions while traditional systems handle final settlement, but Banco CMF's CIO says the goal is to verify improvements in settlement times of up to 50%. Banco Galicia, BIND, and Banco Comafi are reportedly evaluating whether to join. The timing is notable. Argentina's central bank still bars banks from offering crypto to customers, but internal blockchain use is not prohibited, and that restriction is under active review. Morgan, Citi, BNY, Standard Chartered, HSBC and Lloyds are already running live tokenized deposit services for institutional clients. 🪙 Five US regional banks announced a shared tokenized deposit network in February 2026, signaling adoption beyond the top tier. 🪙 87% of financial institutions are exploring tokenization. 🪙 Digital currencies are projected to process up to $13 trillion in transaction value by 2030. 🪙 Global customer deposits totaled $103 trillion in 2024. Even a fraction moving on-chain creates a market far larger than today's stablecoin sector. The regulatory picture is also shifting. The US GENIUS Act provides clarity for stablecoins while keeping tokenized deposits under existing banking law. The UK's GBTD pilot is live with seven major banks. The ECB is advancing the Digital Euro. And in the UAE, the Digital Dirham has gone live on the mBridge platform. The big challenge ahead: interoperability. Securitize puts its first tokenized fund on TRON Securitize has launched Hamilton Lane's tokenized private credit fund, HLSCOPE, on TRON (TRON DAO), its first asset issued on the network. The fund gives qualified investors onchain exposure to Hamilton Lane's senior secured lending strategy through a regulated feeder, with Wormhole handling cross-chain movement. HLSCOPE already runs on Ethereum, Polygon, and other chains. Adding TRON puts it on a network built around stablecoin settlement and high transfer volume, extending the fund's reach to where a large share of onchain capital already sits.

Securitize puts its first tokenized fund on TRON Securitize has launched Hamilton Lane's tokenized private credit fund, HLSCOPE, on TRON (TRON DAO), its first asset issued on the network. The fund gives qualified investors onchain exposure to Hamilton Lane's senior secured lending strategy through a regulated feeder, with Wormhole handling cross-chain movement. HLSCOPE already runs on Ethereum, Polygon, and other chains. Adding TRON puts it on a network built around stablecoin settlement and high transfer volume, extending the fund's reach to where a large share of onchain capital already sits.
