HUAWEI HarmonyOS 6.1’s liquid glass effect is indeed the closest implementation to iOS 26 among all current smartphone operating systems. It looks genuinely beautiful. This may be one of HarmonyOS’s advantages. At least in terms of visual rendering, dynamic blur, transparent materials, and layered depth, Huawei has clearly shown... show more

let's talk about Galaxy S23 Ultra One UI 6 Beta2 animation. Here is the video comparison, from which we can find several mistakes. 1. Compared with One UI 5.1, One UI 6 Beta2 gestures are unresponsive. Obviously, 5.1 has started to respond, and 6 beta2 stays in place like a fool. This is the root cause of the slowness you feel. 2. Compared with One UI 5.1, One UI 6 Beta2 animation is very simple, without the effect of wallpaper scaling, it looks very rigid and boring. 3. Compared with One UI 5.1 ，One UI 6 Beta2, there is almost no Gaussian blur effect. This is simply an animation made by elementary school students. It is the lowest-level design of human smartphone animation, and it is a garbage-level work that makes all colleagues laugh. Of course, I think Samsung will definitely change, but he is disgusting now. if beta3 does not change, I will continue to scold.

Huawei just unveiled a new microchip that will help shape the future of the smartphone industry—but one of the most interesting moments from the launch had nothing to do with benchmarks or specifications. Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer BG, delivered his keynote in Chinese. Then, for one sentence, he deliberately switched to English: “Kirin 9050 Pro. Super fast, super Live smart, super cool! The most powerful Kirin chip ever!” That language switch was not an accident. Huawei had just introduced the HUAWEI Mate XT 2, the world’s first smartphone powered by the new Kirin 9050 Pro. But Richard Yu wasn’t speaking only to the audience in the room—or even just to consumers in China. By switching to English, he was making a statement directly to the global technology community. The message was clear: this is not simply another update for the Chinese market. Huawei wants the entire world to pay attention to what it is building. That message resonates with me personally. This summer, I traveled across China, visiting more than 12 cities, attending one of the world’s most important semiconductor events in Shanghai, and witnessing firsthand how Huawei technology is transforming communities—from rural villages to major cities. It gave me a front-row seat to the remarkable pace of technological development taking place across China. Huawei’s latest breakthrough is amazing to see—and an exciting development for the entire global technology industry. #Huawei #Kirin

By the way, Samsung S25 Ultra One UI 8 ZYF7 (Android16 feature) supports screenshot HDR. This is an HDR photo of OPPO Find X8 Ultra I saw it on social media, and took a screenshot and put it in my gallery. It still retains the HDR effect of the original photo. However, it is worth pointing out that it is said that ZYF3 Beta2 do not have this function, This seems to be a new feature of ZYF7, which is also the advantage of my not participating in Beta.

My initial problem with Liquid Glass was that it was terrible for accessibility despite how beautiful it looks it certain places. There is literally only one way to solve this readability issue – make the glass frosted/opaque. And from the public backlash that Apple received it was pretty obvious that it was a matter of time before they made this change. The problem now is that when you make it opaque, it barely looks any different from iOS 18, yet it keeps eating up resources and draining your battery. 3 betas in, and I still feel like this design direction was a big mistake.

Red mercury, in the language of the alchemists, is not a metal but the hidden fire of the blood; the condensed, living current that refuses to be captured by surface, by ego, by the world of appearances. The mirror can only reflect what has already hardened into form; it cannot hold what is still becoming. Garlic however, the pungent guardian of the threshold, does not repel a demon so much as it names the boundary: the dense, earthy, solar body will not host what feeds on shadow and imitation. So the experiment is not about a forbidden compound. It is about whether you know the reflection is you. When the substance of the soul will not appear in the glass, and when the old protections of the earth still work, you are being shown that consciousness is not an image, it is a current that can only be known by what it refuses to become.

Hot Take 👀 The new Glass slider in iOS 27 should be the benchmark for every mobile OS. I mean, this takes customization to a completely different level. Users can actually control how much Liquid Glass they want instead of being forced into a single design choice. Meanwhile, One UI can barely offer this level of UI customization 😌 When it comes to UI/UX, Apple is the king. Samsung, prove me wrong by copying this for One UI 👀🔥

Hundreds of Russians have shown up to the Supreme Court in Moscow today to voice opposition (without actually violating laws against protest) to Putin's new level of paranoia wherein he will ban the Yabloka political party. The party is challenging it in fake court. This party has only 3% support and is against the war. Likely that this is theater for "democracy".

The more she talks… Everyone needs to appreciate what Candace Owens just admitted to here. “The footage that you saw in court, that I saw in court, was in effect modified”. Do you understand what that means? It means that the original foot wasn’t modified, but because of the format it was in (fisheye/surveillance video) it was “in effect” modified. Meaning that she (or more likely her government source) modified the video/still frame to “correct” the manner in which the surveillance video was “in effect modified”. I will be revisiting my original post to make sure the community note is taken down. This is exactly what I have been saying from the beginning. Her government source corrected the original surveillance video to make it look “normal”, because the original surveillance video that was actually submitted as evidence was, in Candice‘s opinion, “in effect modified”. Vindication is more valuable than remuneration. And not for nothing: even the image she originally shared is modified from the same frame of the video she shared today. Gotta love it when Candace busts herself…

We are living in times where many of us are living in parallel universes to each other. This semi- viral video of this young Cody lad is doing the rounds. Whether you like it or not, I am not surprised he has been charged with assault police. Whatever has happened in the lead-up still doesn't make it acceptable to get hands on like this with the officer. Hate this post all you like, the fact remains he got hands on with the officer, anything leading up to this is another matter.

In the middle of all the teams and numbers, it is easy to forget that a flood is a deeply personal thing for the family living through it. Chitrakoot's response has not forgotten that. Rescue by boat, shelter in relief camps, food and medicines, drone surveillance to find the stranded, officers physically among the people, all of it points to one idea, that no family should be left to face this alone. That is the message coming out of Chitrakoot, and it is a reassuring one. Yogi Sarkar is standing with the people when it counts, and that is exactly when it matters most.

Normally I wouldn’t be this interested in chip tech, even considering this is impressive. Huawei has found a creative workaround to catch up with the likes of TSMC. But what makes it even more compelling to me is the bigger story and resilience behind it. Starting in 2019, Huawei faced intense sanctions that significantly restricted their access to advanced chip technology and global supply chains. For a while, it looked like this would seriously damage or even sideline them in major way. A lot of people thought the company was done or would be stuck far behind for years. Yet Huawei refused to die. Pushed hard by those challenges, they didn’t fold or give up. Instead, they dug in, poured everything into self-reliance, research, and fresh thinking. They reinvented how they approach problems and entered a whole new era of innovation and creativity that probably wouldn’t have happened this quickly, or maybe even at all, without being forced into that corner. That’s the part I find truly inspiring. When the pressure was at its heaviest, they turned obstacles into fuel. They focused on what they could control, built up their own capabilities, and came back stronger with real breakthroughs. It’s rare to see that kind of determination pay off in such a visible way. So many observers probably believed the sanctions would destroy them or at least slow them down permanently. Instead, they lit a fire under the whole company and sparked a level of ingenuity that feels genuinely exciting to watch unfold. Sanctions were supposed to end them. Instead, they pushed Huawei into this impressive new chapter of self-reliance and forward momentum. That kind of comeback story is exactly why I’m such a big fan and why moments like this announcement feel so satisfying.

Michael "I am a conservative INTELLECTUAL thought leader" Knowles, but the only argument I have is... none? Instead, I let my team scroll through hundreds of comments to find the one posted by an account not located in the USA so I can create the illusion of an op that doesn’t exist. I am still not intelligent enough to consider that what this person says could be true regardless of where they live, that free speech doesn’t stop at America’s borders, that X wasn’t created only for Americans, and that what America does has an effect on the entire world - or simply that the account could be American and temporarily outside the United States, whether on vacation or for any number of other reasons. (Knowles has now done this a dozen times, and the fact that he thinks this is some kind of smart gotcha makes me feel embarrassed for him.)

This is a rendering video of the white version of the Galaxy S26 Ultra I made using Seedance 2.0. You can see that although it is not perfect, it has been done very well. I believe that by Seedance 4.0, it will be close to perfect.
