@nat20raj So many people from around the world watched Hudson as Shane Hollander and felt seen. He’s changed so many lives, made people feel more confident and deserving of love as he loved the character. We cannot replace him.🥺

Truly,I felt every second of that panic attack he had after David left, as a person with anxiety I fully felt everything Shane was going through in that moment and that isn't easy to accomplish but Hudson did it.

i love the fact that ilya is so in love with shane that he takes note of everything he does. like of course he knows where shane left his phone and that it's been ringing all morning. he is THE loverboy.

Since everyone is talking about Hudson’s love for Shane, it’s time to bring back this legendary crumb for the new fans! At the Toronto premiere Q&A, Hudson admitted he actually lurked on Twitter and Reddit to see what people thought of Shane before filming. He literally studied the discourse to get the character right not only through the books but valuing fan’s opinions. We love a dedicated king. 🥺

.Fangirlish give their first impressions of the first two episodes of ‘YAGA’ and Hudson Williams’ performance after the TIFF press screening! 🐓 “The thing that surprised me the most is that he plays two very distinct characters. And there’s absolutely no Shane in this. And I also don’t know those that I have met in his short films; this is a different character. These are two different characters. He did a really, really good job. His fans are going to be happy. This is going to be a really good window to show Hudson doing different things but also to introduce people to more Noah, Clark, and Carrie and just all other Canadian actors.”

ive talked about this before but this is one of my favourite scenes in the whole show and undoubtedly my favourite performance from hudson its such a shane way of reacting. everything with him is so internalised… until its not. when shane panics he *really* panics. and it’s also very true to the fact that shane is autistic because you can really see him trying to ground himself and cling onto something for support (he’s constantly grabbing either ilya or the window of the furniture throughout the whole scene) and that’s really indicative of sensory overload imo.

genuinely in love with the way ilya just GETS shane like he wants to rage bait him a little but notices that shane is genuinely upset so he's like "it is, listen" sygnaling to shane that it's all about him and ilya's love for him and the second shane relaxes ilya teases him again

the way ilya didn’t even hesitate when he was asked, “you would leave boston for shane?” and just said yes. shane is his priority, the one man whose freckles he adores and the one man he’s in love with. he’s ready to leave his team, his country, everything behind for him. and then you have shane practically dying from stress in front of his own family while ilya is comforting him with his words and little touches, even though he’s just as stressed himself… yeah, i hope everyone is lucky enough to have a partner who loves them like that

Robbie G.K praises Hudson Williams’ portrayal of Shane Hollander after being asked which character, aside from Kip, he would like to play 🥹 (via iheartradioca) “Hudson does a phenomenal job, Shane is a really tough character to play. There’s a lot of small little micro expressions that he does an insane job. It would be a fun challenge but obviously I’ll never be able to surpass his work”

Noah Reid praising Hudson Williams’ acting in a recent interview with IGN for ‘YAGA’ “When we found out that Hudson was joining us on this show, ‘Heated Rivalry’ fever was in full swing […] We all felt really excited by the fact that he was coming on board because we know it would mean some eyeballs; the people love Hudson, there’s no question. This show will really highlight Hudson’s ability as an actor. He’s a great actor and he’s a cinephile and he does his research, and people are going to see a different side of him on this show for sure.” 🔗:

the camera being in a tight close up on both ilya and shane for the entirety of this scene, except for the moment when ilya is working up the courage to say he’s in love. it’s like for the whole conversation it’s just the two of them, there’s nobody else who matters, and then for a brief moment the shot widens as ilya considers the implications of the fact he’s in love with shane. the fact that the rest of the world DOES matter and will always be a presence in their relationship. we’ve been held in this moment between the two of them and by widening the shot, that intimacy is broken just for a second as we’re reminded that there is a world beyond the two of them and ilya is still in russia. what he’s doing is incredibly dangerous. then the camera tightens back into a close up as he realises he needs to say it anyway because all that matters is that he’s on the phone with shane and he’s in love with him. it really is just the two of them in this moment and he doesn’t want to let anyone else in.
