We can substitute 10% more petrol with ethanol, which can be easily done. It's being done in Brazil. So what our request is, start blending from 20-30% gradually. So 10% more ethanol can be consumed by Indian consumers. That is demand number one. Our second suggestion to the government is to commercialise the flex vehicles. Brazil has been running flex vehicles for many, many years. Many companies in India are ready with the prototype of flex vehicles... So they are ready to bring the prototype. But obviously, they will need some support from the government in terms of policy and maybe some tax relief... If you bring the flex vehicle in the country, two-wheelers and four-wheelers both... many vehicles will run on ethanol, no petrol required. The whole problem will be solved..."

Malaysia Limits Fuel Sales to Thai Vehicles as Betong Faces Petrol Rush Malaysian authorities have capped fuel sales to Thai vehicles at 35 ringgit per fill (about 290 baht) at petrol stations near the border as demand surged amid concerns over global oil supplies linked to fighting in the Middle East. Malaysian authorities say the limits are also aimed at curbing smuggling of subsidised fuel into Thailand. In Kelantan, enforcement officers have arrested 46 suspected smugglers and seized 75 modified vehicles worth about 451,500 ringgit (about 3.7 million baht) in operations since early this year. The vehicles — mostly Proton Wira and Proton Iswara sedans — had enlarged or additional fuel tanks installed in the boot or beneath rear seats to transport fuel to transit points before smuggling it across the border. Authorities are also monitoring 48 petrol stations near the Thai border in Kelantan, about half located within a 25-kilometre radius. #WATCH | Delhi CM Rekha Gupta says, "This is truly a historic day. Delhi EV Policy, which we aim to implement starting July 1, 2026. Following the LG's approval, the policy will remain in effect until March 31, 2030. It focuses entirely on electric vehicles—specifically zero-emission vehicles—with the ultimate goal of gradually transforming Delhi into a pollution-free city for the benefit of its residents. We have devised a comprehensive plan to execute this in phases over the next four years. I would like to highlight that the policy entails an expenditure of ₹7,000 crore over these four years alone. Additionally, we are investing ₹8,000 crore in creating EV infrastructure and waiving road taxes year-on-year; in total, we estimate that the people of Delhi will receive benefits worth approximately ₹15,000 crore through this policy. The measures include purchase incentives, scrapping incentives, the creation of charging infrastructure, and exemptions on road tax and registration fees. This scheme will be highly beneficial for the general public, as we have endeavoured to bridge the price gap between electric vehicles and conventional vehicles through these subsidies. I believe Delhi is the only state in the country launching such a massive EV policy framework; it not only involves an outlay of ₹15,000 crore but also adopts an uncapped, phased approach regarding vehicle numbers—meaning we will incentivise and support the adoption of as many vehicles as the public chooses to purchase. We have not imposed any kind of cap over these four years. We have included two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, N1 trucks, and 'Gramin Seva' vehicles in this policy...Following the Cabinet's approval, it will be sent to the Lieutenant Governor today. Once implemented from July 1st, every resident of Delhi will be able to avail the benefits of this policy."

VISIBILITY AND STATIONED VEHICLES. When driving and you suddenly sight men in uniform and guns, either soldiers in Army camouflage, police, or paramilitary uniforms standing on the express in an isolated area, slow down from afar and scan the area for proper visibility. If the road is a two lane express, ensure both sides of the road where the uniform men are standing are not covered with bush. If the both sides of the road is covered with thick and over grown grass, please it is a red flag. Before soldiers, police, civil defence, immigration or customs set up checkpoints or road blocks in the middle of nowhere, they will properly clear the bushes on one side, or on both sides of the road where they intend to mount their road block. They will build makeshift shades or seats. They may build makeshift shelter and create a proper space for vehicles to park. At a certain distance, the road block will be very visible to you as a motorists. HERE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT. If you see such road blocks, please check both sides of the road if there is a stationed vehicle of the officers. For such an isolated roadblock there must be a well branded vehicle of the organisation parked by the side of the road for easy identification, confidence, and protection assurance. If the men who blocked the road are on Army camouflage, you will see a well branded Army Hilux parked by the side of the road. If they are on police uniform, you will see a well branded police vehicle parked by the side of the road. If they are on customs, immigration or civil defence uniform, you will see their branded vehicles parked by the side of the road. The vehicle is for proper identification and protection assurance. Please note: on such isolated road blocks or checkpoint, they will never use unbranded vehicles, unmarked vehicles, or private cars. If you don't see a branded vehicle of the force parked by one side of the road when you sight such road blocks from a distance, it a big red flag. If someone is suggesting E25 (blend of 25% ethanol and 80% petrol), we have made it clear that we are conducting tests. Those tests will take time. Once the reports are available, we will evaluate them. Then we will discuss the findings with the stakeholders and the automobile manufacturers. After all, I neither manufacture the cars nor the fuel. The car manufacturers are comfortable with E20. Each one of them has made a statement to that effect. Consumers also appreciate the product. We have only begun the rollout of E85 (blend of 85% ethanol and 15% petrol), and that rollout will take some time because new petrol pumps and related infrastructure need to be put in place..."

"When we get to a million deliveries a day, Zipline will be doing somewhere between 40 and 80 times as many flights in the US, in commercial airspace, as all other airlines combined. It's obviously a different class of aircraft. It's a totally different kind of problem. But the reality is when you look at air traffic control, they don't make a distinction. When you talk about all the auxiliary systems that have to be built, there is a huge transformation that's gonna have to happen in air traffic control. People are really excited about electrification of vehicles. People are excited about autonomous vehicles. The reality is as those transformations occur, there are gonna be 10 times as many autonomous vehicles in the air as there are using these teeny, archaic, constrained things that we call roads. The sky is a big place. It makes sense to utilize it. You can give Earth back to humans. You can make neighborhoods quieter, safer, less pollution, less traffic. You can make huge improvements to Earth if we can more effectively utilize the sky. This is gonna require huge transformation of how we think about air traffic control in the US, and it means that we need to design it with AI and autonomy in mind, rather than the way it was designed, which was in 1950 using pencils and paper and note cards, and a human looking out trying to watch the airplane."

The reality is as those transformations occur, there are gonna be 10 times as many autonomous vehicles in the air as there are using these teeny, archaic, constrained things that we call roads. The sky is a big place. It makes sense to utilize it. You can give Earth back to humans. You can make neighborhoods quieter, safer, less pollution, less traffic. You can make huge improvements to Earth if we can more effectively utilize the sky. This is gonna require huge transformation of how we think about air traffic control in the US, and it means that we need to design it with AI and autonomy in mind, rather than the way it was designed, which was in 1950 using pencils and paper and note cards, and a human looking out trying to watch the airplane."
