I don't think it was the southern accent that got him, because the southern accent is fine, but her diction is terrible. The way she pronounces certain words is borderline a speech impediment. The good news is it can be corrected with a little practice...

I will say I once went out with a guy with an extremely thick Bronx accent and I couldn’t see myself having to listen to it for the rest of my life. So, I politely paid for my dinner and let him know I wasn’t into him. There’s a way to handle things like an adult.
