The U.S. House has passed an updated farm bill that would ban China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran from buying U.S. farmland. It now heads to the Senate, which must act to send the legislation to the president’s desk. Today, I filed an amendment to HJR 126 that would have allowed the people of #Texas to vote on the legalization of #Cannabis. This would boost our economy, be a huge benefit for our farmers and would allow those who need it, like veterans, the opportunity to have it legally. Dan Patrick killed the amendment and has made it very clear that Texans shouldn’t have a say over cannabis. #txlege
