I started my insulator collection last year. Have a dozen or so. I can't help it. They are at every auction and yard sale headed to and fro from the beach. Sometimes real cheap. But I want them lining my two windows in the shack. Easily amused but find them quirky and fascinating

low key electrifying how they went about figuring out that the wires leak power, thus they need better insulator design to prevent that power loss on transmission lines as much as possible.. shows the real weaknesses too of power transmission across long distances.
