We have so much in common.

We are one people bro.

In Igbo language (Nigeria), we say “Okuko”

In Ghana (akan) its akoko

I'm kinda shocked that Malagasy has the proto-Bantu *nkoko for chicken instead of the proto-Malayo-Polynesian *manuk.

Happened when early seafaring settlers from Borneo interacted closely with East African Bantu traders and communities.

@BantuLanguages @madugian @Mmofra_Ghana we talked about this word and its Ghanaian cousin.

M igbo we say okuko

Nkukor ( Akan, Ghana)

In Igbo language is Okuko

We really are the same🥹🥹

Ibibios aren't actually bantu. Even the name they have for chicken is fat off from the others. The only true Bantus we have in Nigeria are at the extreme east of the country and they are mainly the Ejagham and Tiv people

Inkukhu 👌

You got so many of them wrong my brother 😭😭😭

I would be delighted to hear your input Leo.

what are "bantu" languages my guy 😂😂😂

The Bantu languages constitute one of the largest linguistic groups in the world. They are spoken by more than 350 million speakers across sub-Saharan Africa, from Cameroon and Kenya to the southern regions.

bantu means people in Zulu dawg. this propaganda is frying your brains.
