The world can manufacture around 2,400 satellites a year, but rockets can launch only about 1,800 satellites into orbit — leaving a gap of roughly 600 satellites every year. Even SpaceX, which controls around 65% of global launch capacity, is struggling to keep up, with some rideshare slots booked well into 2027. And this is where China has a major opportunity.
