A Congolese man died in Dublin on Friday after he was restrained by several security guards in an alleged shoplifting incident – prompting widespread anger and calls for justice. Video of the incident showed several guards on top of Yves Sakila, 35, in Dublin city centre as he cried out in distress. At one point, a guard appears to kneel on his head or neck. He later appears to become unresponsive. Police are investigating. The footage has prompted comparisons with the 2020 killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Local community members held a vigil on Tuesday, chanting “justice for Yves”. The Irish Council for Civil Liberties is demanding that the death be “swiftly, thoroughly and transparently investigated”.

He was caught and held by security, but then he died in hospital after becoming unresponsive on the scene. This is already being used to whip up George Floyd style anger, with protests planned for tomorrow afternoon in Dublin. Ebun Joseph (Ireland's racism czar) and a number of NGOs have already pounced to label this as "systemic racism." Here's the video of the incident.

Then he said, “Neck compression has to be in the diagnosis.” A few days later, neck compression was in the cause of death. Prosecutors sat on the call for months. In the federal grand jury, Baker was asked whether anyone had tried to influence him. He asked to step outside and speak with his attorney. Tessa Harker explains on Counterweight.
