In Birmingham @BrumLabour councillors are pushing ahead with a programme of library closures and major cuts in opening hours which will inevitably lead to long-term decline and destroy the life chances of many youngsters. @lisanandy @PreetKGillMP @BrumLibraries @BrumLibraryZine

Nandy, like Milliband, behaves as though they are still in Opposition. She takes on the "concerned" look in soft tv interviews, he writes a "strongly worded" letter to the energy watchdog. Yet they are both content to carry on with failed Conservative policies. #RedTories

Some interviewer needs to challenge the "We can't do this because of 14 years of Tory misrule" slogan. And reply "But people voted for you because they DIDN'T want that any more. What's your alternative?".

She is such a liar They lie and they lie and they lie, and they lie, and they lie, and they lie, and they lie, and they lie, and they lie, and they lie, and they lie, and they lie, and they lie #StarmersToryLabourParty #StarmersDirtyLabourParty 101 🤢

Central government can provide funding, it's up to councils to spend it on libraries. A bit of an unfair attack on Nandy here.

Public libraries across Staffordshire, which once boasted excellent lending and reference libraries have closed or shrunk. I tried to borrow a book by the author Lloyd C Douglas yesterday only to be told none of Staffordshire libraries have any of his books!

The United Kingdom needs to rebuild and renew what made the country great, from the railways to our education system, the Labour Party needs invest not cut essential public spending.

How the f*ck is she deserving her substantial role and remuneration? Oh, of course. A right-wing Starmer loyalist who has not yet had to resign.

When all is said & done and done a less literate electorate is easier to bamboozle.

Labour PM & MPs are as much use as a wet paper bag. They take their massive incomes with all added Benefits, while looking the other way from the damage to their Constituents & Democracy. When will we see them do their jobs..Speak out against Austerity & removal of Our Rights
