I'm a construction superintendent, and working like this is how people get hurt or mistakes get made.. one of the jobs I'm on right now had several serious framing issues due to the ironworkers working like this... Whereas the sister building on the same site framed by a different crew "took longer", but they didn't have to come back and do a bunch of stuff. twice. These guys are definitely skilled, not knocking that at all, but sometimes faster isn't always faster. Working like this is just extremely short sighted, something really bad is going to eventually happen, and then its guys in my position who end up getting charged with manslaughter when somebody dies.

1. No ironworker actually does this 2. This ironworker unclipped his fall protection harness and needs to get chewed out by his foreman for being recklessly unsafe

Has nothing to do with a "new truck".. Ironworkers are trained to move like this stright from the appretisphip. Moving like this is what earns you an extra $500 a week non taxable per diem.
