Everyone needs respect. Everyone needs love. Love & respect are two sides of the same coin. Paul emphasized men loving their wives & women respecting their husbands because men often didn't love their wives (considered beneath them) & as a result their wives didn't respect them.

It's certainly both ways. However, our unique roles must not be a reward for other spouse doing their part. We must simply do ours.

So what are the things the wife need to hear for a happy marriage?

Sounds like men are more needy than children.

Men have needs, I agree. More than kids, not so sure of that.
