Your builder did you so dirty man. No mechanical closet. Crappy Goodman equipment with a silicone job from hell. Flex ductwork all over the place. No wet switch. Just throw the whole house away. I’m hoping your only problem is a clogged condensate line. If that’s the case, you can find where the AC drains to and hit it with a shop vacuum. That might clear up the clog. If that’s not it and your coil is freezing you have other issues. You can install a three-quarter PVC-T with cap that you can pour bleach or vinegar down the drain line and clean it out so it doesn’t get clogged. you should probably do that once every six months.

This is where Will goes to talk to Oona while his wife is putting the kids to bed 🐘

Dang.. Oona talk still?! Just address it Will.

No, it’s not normal. I’ve been doing Hvac for over 25 years bro and your condensate line is clogged and it’s backfilling into the system. You should have a float switch on the secondary drain which is an SS2. And you should definitely have a pan drain float switch as well to shut the system off so it doesn’t overflow into your ceiling.

I can’t believe you sent your wife to buy the shop vac 😂

Slap some Flex Seal on it Willy..

New construction is absolute bottom of the barrel bids. Low bid wins new construction. They build/install for cheap get their check and they are gone forever. All new construction I see now a days is complete garbage.

Did this motherfucker say my wife put the kids to bed and then turned around and said I had to stay home and watch the kids while my wife ran to the store or I would’ve went?

Pop some of these bad boys and get to work

Probably a frozen evaporator coil. Turn the thermostat off and leave the fan on. Takes about 24 hours to thaw out, keep an eye on the drip pan and replace the filter before you fire it back up.

It’s a drain pan will. The unit creates condensation and that runs off into that pan which then should have drai. Out of the house. Combined with the fact whoever glued it up did a dog shit job.

Who sends their wife to shop for tools ?

I’ve been there Had to call the plumber Was told “I wish your father raised a man” by my mother lol that was funny honestly

Get a your garden hose or something that can shoot pressurized water down the secondary condenser line that drains the water in this pan out.. you got a clog. But it’s an easy fix you got this Willy C save the day!

You need to have a pump installed to pump it outside your house. If that overflows it will cause massive damage to your house. Same thing happened to us did about 20k damage.

You should have a pipe to drain that catch pan. Good chance it’s clogged. $100 and a shop vac will save you a big service fee

Bruh you have clogged condensation line.. you can fix it Sissy boi! You’ve tripped the flood sensor in that tray full of water. Grok can walk you through it playa. A real man would stay up all night cussing in the attic and fix it

Capacitor is what you had repaired or replaced. Over flow drain float is at its limit and turned unit off.

Oona

Make sure filter is clean, drain line could be clogged…..overall the builder did you wrong with cruddy good an garbage

It’s not that bad. The condensate pan is supposed to collect the moisture as a secondary means if your primary condensation pipe is plugged…or not installed properly. There should be a pipe that leads from the pan to the exterior of the house…if installed correctly.

More than welcome to DM me and I’ll give you my number and I could walk you through it so that way you can get it done tonight

@_willcompton what grown man doesn’t have a shop vac? 🤦🏼♂️

😂😂😂 HVAC WILLY!

Bro your unit is froze up! Cut the air off but run the fan, that will help it thaw out. your drain for the pan is definitely clogged tho so I’d fix that first.

Debris got into the condensate drain.. Must have clogged something... Gotta grab a flexible drain-cleaning brush... May get lucky and unclog it. But it's probably a backup where you can reach it😬

Bro just get a shop vac and suck out the drip line. It's outside somewhere and probably got clogged

preach it! Literally dealing with the same thing and it's driving my wife and I crazy!!

The HVAC guy that installed my unit said, "You can't expect it to do more than 20 degrees colder than the outside temp." What?! I'm in the south! 100 degree summers and I can't get it below 80 deg in my house? Ended up being a two-foot duct open blowing cold air into my attic.

Four leaf hvac 615-372-4719 local from Lebanon small business we would love to take care of it for you

You definitely need to suck that water out of the pan go outside and put a vacuum on the end of the drain line and try to suck the sludge that’s in your drain pipe. You definitely have blockage wouldn’t hurt after that to maybe crimp the hose stuff into the bottom of the drain pipe and then un crept the hose so it shoots water up the pipe that will also help suck out or knock anything that’s blocking it as well

NEVER send your wife to buy a Shop-Vac! That’s the man’s job!! FFS!! 🤦♂️

That’s a new build?? Your builder did you dirty. Looks like a toddler got a hold of some silly puddy and went to town. Throw the whole house away and start over.

Rich people problems

You need an Oona
