2 weeks back, I rewatched Kaakki Sattai. Ever since, there’s been only one song running on my playlist 24×7. Or to be more precise, one interlude. The interlude preceding the first charanam in Vaanile Thenila. Gosh, enna maari oru velai paadu Raja sir! What the hell is that guitar solo man! Otherrrrworldllyyy!! The beauty lies in how the interlude sets up the charanam, yet the interlude itself is divided into 3 parts, each setting up the next. Starts with a violin orchestra that leads into that outtttrageous guitar solo, which flows into that rrridiculous flute solo, which finally sets up the charanam making SPB go, 'Vaanam paadum paadal naanum ketkiren.' Gosh! What an emotional rollercoaster the whole stretch, not a single wasted second!! Mesmerising. Hypnotising. Raja rising! 👑

Tom O’Neill at the MKUltra congressional hearing: ‘It has been found to be feasible to take the memory of a definite event in the life of an individual and, through hypnotic suggestion, bring about the subsequent conscious recall to the effect that this event never actually took place, but that a different (fictional) event actually did occur.' Like shooting a person for instance. CIA MKUltra Manchurian Candidate consultant MIlton Kline was placed into Mark Chapman’s cell days after John Lennon was assassinated. The sessions Kline (and other nefarious hypnotists) had with Chapman were private and undocumented. Six months after Kline and his evil cohorts had their private sessions with Chapman, Chapman decided to plead guilty, because ‘god’ told him to do so. This clips allows us to hear CIA MKUltra Manchurian Candidate consultant MIlton Kline hypnotising Chapman in his cell.

Green Party leader Zack Polanski at last night’s Trans Mission concert at Wembley Arena. “Trans rights are human rights,” he hollers into the crowd. But trans people in the UK already have the same human rights as everyone else. What activists like Polanski are really demanding is not equal rights, but special treatment: the right for men who say they are women to access women’s spaces and for anyone who objects to be denounced as hateful. When he calls for an end to “hate”, women know by now what that often means in practice: being shamed or silenced for not wanting to undress or deal with other intimate situations in front of men. Many people joke about his former career hypnotising women’s breasts. But dismissing him as ridiculous is a mistake. Hypnotism isn’t magic. It’s suggestion, confidence and psychological manipulation. And here he is, on a Wembley stage, trying to work exactly that kind of spell on a crowd of young and impressionable people. Video clip via Farrukh

There are very few opportunities like this that come along in a lifetime. No one is forcing you to live in America. At the very least , you should have a back up plan just incase shit hits the fan.
