No Diamondbacks team without a stud Closer has ever gone anywhere. Whether it was 2001, 2002, 2007, or any of the others that went to the post-season. It really should be priority #1 on the list for ownership, but for some reason, they keep trying to get something for nothing.

Great question @shoewizard59 - plus he has the benefit that the Sewald era feels like a lifetime ago.

While he is likely gone at the end of the season, this season he coached his tail off. It will be difficult to find a manager who can do what he's done with the rosters he's had. 2024 through the first half of 2025 might be on him, but Hazen hasn't delivered playoff rosters often
