I am a woman and I endorse this message.

This woman is right on! What I wouldn't give for a man who can fix things and protect me. That's what most women want, but few recognize it when they have it.

The problem is that there aren't many of those handy guys around. Young men today have their head in a phone playing games instead of acquiring experience fixing things.

I can fix anything that isn’t alive and some that are.

I’m not gonna lie that is a pretty damn good talent. I on the other hand will buy the $46 worth of parts and only be successful fixing it 50% of the time and that’s only after yelling at ceiling a few times. 😂

Reality is that most women despise low resource man. Changing stuff to new and shiny for a lot of bucks - yes! Fixing an old appliance to work next 10 years again for 30 bucks for a part - no! Men like peacocks must show off real or fake wealth.

The downside is, she'll volunteer your skills to all of her friends and family. Don't ask me how I know..

My grandfather told me one time said the most wealthiest thing you can have is a person that can fix just about anything because then you don’t have to spend the money to buy another one And I think I got a little bit of his knowledge because if I want something specific and I cannot find it I’ll make it if I cannot make it. I’ll find something that comes close to it and modify it and yes I am Gen X. That’s what we do.

A professional would cost $200-300 to fix the dryer, while I make few times more in those 3 hours, as a non-handy man. If you always accept the challenge, you don't value your time. There are better things in life than fixing old broken things.

She's talking about me. My daughter used to complain about all the tools that I own, that is until her car broke down and I fixed it for a fraction of what the repair shop wanted. Then she married a man with more tools than I have.
