I actually feel bad for Jon Scheyer. He did the unthinkable and filled Coach K’s shoes. He seems like a good dude too, when he says, “I didn’t help them enough,” I think he feels that to his core.

Wow. This interview looked so intimate. Imaging being this vulnerable with this many people looking on. He handled it like a leader/champ.

🏀 "I think it's only going to make us a better shooting team, a better shooting program. I'm proud to be a Noah customer." – Coach Garrison Unlock the full potential of your team with Noah Backboard. From better shots to better results, there’s a reason coaches choose Noah.

Probably is a good dude but I’m never personally gonna feel bad for a Dukie. 😂 I’m a certified card-carrying Duke hater.

That is Jon's problem, he over values his impact in game. It's not that he didn't help them enough, he over coached them. With 9 mins to go up 11 he's slowing them down, telling them to slow down. You don't stop playing with 9 mins to go. Let them play freely, stop over coaching.

Unthinkable? Guy gets whatever players he wants. Duke starts on 3rd base every year. Pretty much all of Florida's final fours was starting from the batters box. Minus the second natty title when everyone came back Florida develops nobody's. Duke gets one year mercenaries

You wouldn’t feel bad for him if you saw his NIL budget. Those 3 freshman lottery picks didn’t go there just because they think he’s a good coach

That's the thing, it's not about money. It's just like people saying not to feel bad for Ben Johnson as he's getting a buy out. If you've ever had a true passion in life, you know how much it hurts to lose. There are also a lot of teams that have spent a ton and not ended up in the Final 4.

UNC fan here. Hard luck to Duke. I think ye had the standout team in the nation this season. Congrats for that. And yes, JS is going to be a problem for us for the next 20 years +. Super worried about it 😂 He has been very impressive

He’s gonna get fired

He failed as much as coach k did. They get the best players almost every year. They should win it almost every year.

He damned sure didn’t. Always runs an iso for Flagg late. Predictable

What a bum

I think he should

Better inbounds plays is for sure going to be on his off-season checklist.

He blew this game. He’s got to own this loss. It’s on him. Too bad for such a great season & bunch of guys

U are the only non Dookie that feels this way. 🤦♂️

Cant win them all he did good in his first year final 4 . Cant beat that. There will be other years

He pulled a Kyle choekahan choke job. Classic

He is right. Poor coaching!

Awful coach bailed out by a massive talent advantage

Jon Scheyer fan. Tough loss. Players blew it. Duke got tight at the end.

I met Jon and his family when he was in college. Had dinner with them. They were some of the nicest, warmest people in Id ever met.

Nope. All the money, all the talent. Keeping that coach k coaching tree in sapling stage.

the loss is on him hope he gets better and learn but it's all on him

Couldn’t in bound??? 11-1 to end game

Cause he didn’t! Not sure what there is too feel bad about!

He’s right. This is on him.

Could t get it done. The ultimate choke job by the dookies.

Coach K’s shoes are unfillable; all you can do is bring your best and make your own history.

There are many coaches that would’ve won the whole thing with this team and sadly we have Jon, a guy that can’t draw up a simple inbound play!

🤣

You have the best player in cbb and he’s standing right in front of the inbounder with a guard on him and you run him away from the play to see a screen? Just throw it up to him then let the inbounder cut up the middle of the floor and throw it back to him. Geez

You don’t know what you don’t know until you find out, and the hard part is always the finding out.

It is absolutely right that he didn't help them enough, and he has to live with that.

He didn’t help them enough dude? That lost is 100% on him

R
