If a parent has two kids and they can't feed them, clothe them, educate them, love them, protect them, care for them, keep them safe and healthy and cherish them ..... you wouldn't give them 5 more damaged foster kids to look after and say you were being kind. So if the government can't look after the citizens it already has, why would anyone suggest that it is a suitable guardian for damaged citizens from other countries? The most important thing to look out for is the difference between transplants and immigrants. When people come to a new host country, they choose whether to learn the language and assimilate. If they come to take advantage of the host country, and refuse to honor their laws, they are transplants. They just want the host country to conform to their laws and customs. That is not how it works. Sharia Law is the perfect example of this. There is just no place for that in America. We believe in universal human rights, for example. Sharia Law does not.
