As a felon who did get their record expunged and I’m now able to constitutionally carry, NO, it doesn’t apply to pedos. No one with a violent crime is eligible for record expungements under President Trump’s First Step Act. This went into effect in December of 2018 btw!

Huge difference between forgiving someone who made some mistakes and did their time for it, and degenerate child molesters. Not the same.

I agree, you go 12 years without doing anything wrong and I believe you deserve a second chance!!

How it was in the old days was... If you were a felon - be it by your own hands or a shattered broken judicial system... After staying out of trouble for 7 years, you could file to have your record expunged... The way it should be...!!!

Agreed but not for sex crimes

True rehabilitation success should be achieved by expunging a record to allow the individual to achieve the ability to pursue life, liberty and happiness! A good job helps!!

Pedophiles should be lifelong on a list. People make mistakes though so other non sexual felonies should be expunged.

If you sexually abuse a child they should throw away the key. Also if you are a felon who has gone 12 years without being a repeat offender you should absolutely qualify for an expungement.

I totally agree with him. I don't know of any sane person who would disagree with having them excluded.
