Because imo, there’s plenty of other issues with the Grammys, these categories are not one of them.

I want to point out that Grammys is North American award show for NA artists. They always had these global categories. Its not new. MAMA is an Asian award show for Asian artists but have Best international artist. Are you going to get mad at MAMA for nominating Asian artists?

But for a global act like bts who can easily win main awards.. this is like shushing them to be quiet and get an award and go home! They were nominated with cold play for my universe... a song where they sing korean and chriat English... and they lost that nomination... it did the best numbers out of all... with a well respected band... Bts will not stoop this low.. for ur inkigayo favs this is ok... but for already stabilized and Grammy nominated act like bts it is not.. We will let ur favs have this award as it's a spit to Asians faces around the world...

why would any english singer sing in korean? kpop singers sing in english bcs english is literally a universal language no one owns the language so they can make as much music as they want in english.
