I almost died by suicide fifteen years ago while battling depression. If the expansion of MAID coming into force in 2027 were in place then, I'd likely be dead right now. Today, I'm launching the #IGotBetter campaign to keep hope alive for people living with mental illness.

Conservative MP Tamara Jansen’s Bill C-218, plus the brilliant arguments by MP Michael Cooper, MP and the courageous personal story of MP Andrew Lawton, changed the debate and stopped government from telling struggling people to give up on life. Canada's MAID program: -Designed for individuals in an advanced state of irreversible decline. ie. terminal illness. -96% of Canadians who have received MAID, are white. -An Ontario man was assessed at a Tim Horton's parking lot & then driven straight to the procedure by the same doctor. -An individual who suffered from seasonal depression was denied MAID in Ontario, but received it in BC. He had complications from diabetes but was not terminal. -Multiple hospitals have offered MAID before treatment. A practice that should result in the revocation of the Doctor's medical license. -The Liberals included mental illness, but as an exclusion that expires next year. Meaning, if it's allowed to expire, MAID will be available for those with mental illness. None of this is compassion. There is no version of these examples, that is medicine. Great work by Kelsi Sheren for continuing to fight for normalcy

The original Somnath Jyotirlinga resurfaces after 1000 years! Shattered into pieces in a heinous attack by Mahmud of Ghazni a millennium ago, the fragments were preserved by Agnihotri priests for several generations. Fun fact. Before I had my car wrapped…. A bus with passengers lost control right infront of Lekki toll gate and literally almost sent me to God. If not for my car..half of passengers in the car would have been dead. Injuries were sustained by passengers but happy to be alive❤️

September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. This month serves as a dedicated time to raise awareness, remember those lost to suicide, and connect people with vital resources and treatment. Vince Welnick talking about his deep depression following the death of Jerry Garcia 🙏🏼✨🌹 Everyone has something happening that you might not be aware of. Our wish is to be more aware of these signs if or when possible. Sometimes we feel like there was not enough awareness of Mental illness back then and Vince wasn’t embraced or supported enough or at least he might have felt that way. I know lots of people that went to help him and got him back into playing. Vince lived in Sonoma County in the 90’s and Steve Kimock was one of those that reached out and helped him to start playing music again. Another reason why we love the Kimock Family! They came together and formed Missing Man Formation. It always felt like Vince was also hurt deeply when reunion shows would happen with surviving members of the Grateful Dead like the 2002 shows in Alpine but Vince was not invited to play. If only we all understood mental illness better then and now… Sadly on June 2, 2006, at the age of 55, Welnick passed away by suicide after battling depression for ten years. Nearly 4 years ago (April 24, 2022 to be exact), Balen Shah had filed his nomination to run for Mayor of Kathmandu metropolitan city, his candidacy at that time was dismissed by almost everyone, Rabi Lamichhane then ran a popular TV news show and interviewed then candidate Balen at the day of nomination. Looking forward to now, Balen is soon gonna be PM of Nepal while Rabi the party chair and their relationship is gonna be pivotal in the functioning of the coming government. I hope both of them succeed. Still unreal that this happened but if the people decide, anything can happen.

Today I'm living my dream playing at the highest level and finishing at te 2nd place of the first Major in THE FINALS. A huge thank you to my teammates, OJI and Roma, as well as to 🏝️ ArdyIRL for this year 2025, which has been absolutely wild with emotions. Special thank to Blaxou who help us as a sub to practice before the Major.
