I already shared the second substorm from last night, but this was the first one which was also insane! From Monday night, I have seen 8 substorms, 5 of which are in my top-10 aurora shows ever. What a week here in Alaska for aurora chasers...

Vincent, when I was outside last night to photo the aurora right when you posted about the substorm, I heard a group of wolves howl. I’m remote central Colorado and I have heard them howl here before, but do you hear/see/experience wildlife differently during auroras?

I’m excited to visit Alaska in September- it would be my dream to see some Northern Lights even though it’s not quite the right time of the year!
