I’m going to go out on a limb and say this is the worst opening phrase for a closing argument imaginable. You start off by describing the horror of what the defendant did. In detail. Reminding the jury of it. Showing pictures. You don’t start off with what is effectively the defense’s strongest argument.

I don’t understand the critics of this film, they don’t understand the human psyche in such an event. You’re talking about 30 minutes or less to come up with a decision. I like the breakdown of this film and the focus on each aspect of the decision making process. You’d panic if you were the President, a bomber crew, or turning the key on a ICBM or SLBM… I would. This is more scary than having sex for the first time. Look what happened on 9/11, utter chaos and nukes weren’t even involved. What do you want, medium rare, medium, or well done? Your life is over as you know it and that’s why the SecDef jumped off the roof. I liked the ending of the film because such a situation is unfathomable. If you want to see death and destruction, there are plenty of films to show you this.
