I can probably have a much more robust system if I tied it into the Grok API. but using grok to generate the tags would get expensive for many players typing many commands. Keeping it plain old NLP is sufficient for my needs for now.

Very cool. Want to share the prompt? I used Grok to generate what is essentially "Star Trek choose your own adventure" life-sim sort of thing.

I didn't give it a generic prompt. I sort of walked it through the process. I asked for NLP parser libraries that would be suitable then started with asking it to handle directions, then add a command loop, then add handling attacks, etc. Took me awhile.

I played and staffed on MUDs for decades. My first one was based on the original Wasteland. I miss MUDs being a thing.

OG Dragonrealms players sound off. We gonna storm this thing like Sorrow on a coke bender.

I miss MUDs.
