My first book publishes today. It has nothing to do with hardcore finance or bitcoin, but everything to do with self-improvement, constant learning, and living the life you want. The book, which is titled How To Live An Extraordinary Life, is a compilation of 65 letters to my children on various life lessons I have picked up over the years. I never had an intention to write a book, but as I started writing these letters in private it struck me that many other people could benefit from these insights. The beauty of the book is that each letter is the product of a mistake I made, a piece of advice someone gave to me, or an experience I lived through over the years. You will learn lessons about money, investing, work, relationships, health, and happiness. None of the ideas are my own — I had to live my life and rely on people much smarter than me to teach me all of this information. Each letter in the book is structured to share the lesson, explain how I learned it, and then give actionable advice on how to implement it in your own life. The reason that you don't have certain excellence that you want is because you are afraid of getting criticized. You are afraid of the judgment that comes with it. You are afraid of standing out. There are 2 categories of things in this world: 1) Things that are up to you 2) Things that are not up to you Which category does your reputation sit in? Your reputation is not up to you. I'm the one who associates your reputation with something, not you. You just do things. What's up to you? How you act. Your decisions. Your actions. That is up to you. Your reputation is not up to you. Here's how I know that: You all have a reputation about me and it's not in my control. I get to say and do whatever I say and do up here. Friends, in our first reading from the book of Deuteronomy this week, Moses says to the people, “For this command that I enjoin on you today is not too mysterious and remote for you. . . . No, it is something very near to you, already in your mouths and in your hearts; you have only to carry it out.” This is a master text for what we call in the Catholic tradition “the natural law.” It means that there is within us a kind of deep moral intuition by which we know the right thing to do; there are intuitions of value that give us a sense of meaning, purpose, and direction in life.

Before you try to run your startup by inserting yourself into every detail, you need to hear this reality check: "The thing you don't get is as follows, which is that... assumes you have somebody like Elon who can hold the entirety of every engineering topic and every business topic in their head all at the same time." "And so when you're sitting there with the 23-year-old engineer and you're working with them to redesign the database architecture or whatever, you actually are like qualified to do that. And that you're qualified to do that not just that one time, but EVERY time." It forces us to ask a tough question about the actual talent pool in tech right now: "This goes right back to the last topic we just talked about, which is like, OK, how many of those people exist who can possibly do that? And, you know, we know the answer is one." But here is where his perspective completely shifts... "I believe the answer is ten or a hundred or a thousand. I don't know if it's a million. I tend to think we have more of those people than we think we do."

FOR THOSE WHO ARE CONFUSED… We experience TIME as a straight line, one moment after another, PAST TO PRESENT TO FUTURE. But that is only how it appears from inside the system. Beings in higher dimensions, what some call “ORACLES” OR “GODS,” do not experience time like this. They do not move through it. They observe it in its entirety. A closer analogy would be CHANNELS ON A SCREEN. What is playing on FOX and what is playing on CBS is not separate in existence, it is only separated by perspective. Both are happening at the same time, fully active, fully real. In the same way, what we call 1950 and what we call 2004 are not distant points moving away from each other. They are both present within the same total field of reality. From that level of awareness, nothing is being “waited on.” There is NO DELAY. There is only ACCESS. A shift of perception is all that is needed, like changing the channel. So if everything exists at once, then your FUTURE is not something that is coming toward you. It is something that already exists. The version of you 20 YEARS FROM NOW is already there. You have already CHOSEN THAT PATH, you have already GONE THROUGH WHAT COMES WITH IT, you have already LIVED THROUGH IT ALL. And what you are doing now is not creating it. You are MOVING THROUGH IT. Slowly remembering why you are there at all.

Jensen Huang on how to convey your vision to employees: Question: "How you convey your vision to your employees and how you keep that sense of urgency in them so that they continue improving themselves?" Jensen: "So the question is how do I convey my vision to the employees and how do we convey a sense of urgency? First of all, you convey your vision the good old-fashioned way. And it's about telling a story. I'm not the best storyteller in the world, and I'm not the best, I don't enjoy public speaking, actually. And if you were to give me a choice right now between doing this versus just answering one of your emails, and I'll give you all my email address, you could all send me an email, and I'd be glad to respond to it. I'd rather do that. You know, I'm still an engineer, and I'm introverted by design, I guess. And I don't find myself particularly articulate. And so I don't enjoy the process of public speaking. But you have to force yourself to do it. It's for a good reason. It's for a good cause. I have to admit that speaking to my employees or speaking to NVIDIA's employees is the single most intimidating thing that I do. It freaks me out. And the reason for that is because I respect their time so much, and I know how important the meeting is, that in your own mind, the bar and the responsibility is extraordinary. But you have to put yourself, and I'm speaking to engineers here, you have to force yourself to communicate at a bigger picture level. You have to force yourself to practice. And it's something that over time you get better at. In terms of how do we communicate a sense of urgency? Just through action. They have to see that when I make decisions or when I do something or when something is near my field of influence, my scope of influence, that I do it with a sense of urgency. And it's amazing what that does. People simply pick up those habits from you. If your CEO works hard, you'll work hard. If your CEO cares, you'll care. If your CEO loves this company, you'll love this company. If your CEO is passionate about the work that we do, you'll be passionate about the work that we do. If your CEO does everything with an extraordinary sense of purpose and intensity and sense of urgency, you will too. It's amazing what happens when you're a leader of anything, whether you're a leader of a project team or, right? As I say that, you could almost everybody just, yeah, I get it. Leader of a project team or a leader of a lab team. The behavior and the values and the habits of that leader has an amazing way of rubbing off on everybody else."

WATCH: Mollie on how liberal Supreme Court justices are turning to *shocking* tactics all because they are not getting what they want from the Court: “I have a new book out today, 'Alito,' which tells the behind-the-scenes story of what happened with the Dobbs leak. You are correct that we have seen this increase in bad relationships between the justices or problems with leaks. And the court really does need to operate without leaks so that they can get their work done. Justices throughout the history of the court have said how important it is that they can work without fear of this type of public discussion of the topics. It is an attempt to go after the court and to achieve results that people are not able to achieve through normal court procedures. That’s what we saw with the Dobbs leak, where in my book I showed the liberal justices actually delayed their dissent in the Dobbs decision after the leak intentionally, even though their colleagues were facing death threats, and we even had an assassination threat at Kavanaugh, and it’s what you see with the most recent leak from the New York Times — the liberal justices are not happy with what they are getting, they are not winning on the strength of their arguments, so you are seeing more and more of these politicized leaks.”

First, I wanna thank my teammates. Thank you for putting up with me. Thank you for helping shape a kid full of piss and vinegar. Thank you for doing your best to keep me out of trouble. Thank you for keeping me alive. To my superiors/commanders, I’m sorry for all you had to put up with. The middle age man version of me would’ve probably destroyed that kid that showed up to your team room. When you’re in the public eye, as I have been for some time now, you expect to be scrutinized. That comes with the territory. What you don’t expect is to have members of your own community rip apart painful stories that you’ve laid bare to the best of your ability. Stories that were corroborated by multiple people. Stories that passed legal review. Stories that passed extensive DOD review. Do I think the battle happened exactly the way I remember it 16 years later? No, I don’t. Which is why I addressed that in the introduction to my book. Scars and Stripes was originally called “Failure is Not Final” but the publisher thought we needed a more upbeat and catchy name. Name change notwithstanding, I’m proud of the book. I’m proud of the people I talk about in the book. I’m proud of my service. In this video I address some of the things the podcast charged me with. I know it will not satisfy them as they make their money by trying to bring people down with more followers than they possess. I also know it will not satisfy their most steadfast supporters. I look forward to hearing about 50 grenades from no name private accounts on pictures of my kids until the day I die. It’s not my first internet rodeo. For those of you are reasonable, I ask that you listen to what I have to say, assess whether it is more likely that I fabricated all this stuff and all the people around me and DOD just went along with it, or whether someone went through the book in the least gracious way possible in order to profit off of my name. We checked into The Jefferson in Washington DC and there was a copy of my book on the table with a note from their Director of Rooms asking me to sign and dedicate it to their collection.
