One look from her and you already understand. She will do anything to protect me. Anything. She lost her husband (my dad) when she was just around 31 or 32. Still very young. Still in her prime. Many people in that situation would have chosen to remarry and start another life. But she didn’t, She chose us. She used the rest of her youth just to raise us and make sure we were okay. Along the way, she sold almost everything she had worked for in her 20s, just so we wouldn’t suffer. I love her so much. ❤️

When I told my daughter Suubi that I was determined to 'sneak' out from house arrest, she was very concerned about what might happen to me. She had seen the rudeness and brutality with which those military and police guys treated journalists and visitors who tried to access our home. After so much explaining to her why it was important to leave, she offered to make a prayer for me. Suubi rarely cries. She is always funny and jocular, but this time she was genuinely concerned. I noticed that her eyes were teary after the short prayer she made. I hope that one day, we shall live in a country where children will never have to endure so many worries and pain, simply because their parents are opposed to the rulers of the day.

Just like Baby James yesterday, she ran straight to me, not knowing the pain surrounding her. Little does she understand that her mother, Anita, is no more taken away in such a painful and cruel way. What hurts even more is that this tragedy happened right in front of her a child too young to comprehend such horror. Since yesterday, she keeps asking me only one thing: “Let’s go to the hospital, I want to see mum.” Those words cut deep, because in her heart, she still believes her mother is just unwell that she will see her again. My heart is bleeding. No child deserves this kind of pain. ON THE CASE OF Lady B - IYALODE OF X SHE IS A FEMALE MALE A lot of people started tagging me to it, and I got confused. When I was planning to visit Nigeria, Lady B asked that she wanted a laptop, so I added her to the list, and she later reached out to me to say, she will like to meet with me upon arrival in lagos, but she wants me to know that her real face isnt what shes using online, so, she said she can call me on video so I can see her face, I just told her not to worry that it was fine. I didnt have the time to meet with her while I was in Nigeria but Sandra Ibeh was the one in constant conversation. So, i have been speaking with Lady B, and I know her voice, I have lots of voicenotes from her, I decided to call her on a video call. At least the device that changes voice wont be in her throat. I did a video call, I told her I will record and post it so people who have heard her voice before can compare if the voice on the video call is different. In life, we should be very careful how we quickly throw others under the bus.
