The Pentagon is deploying two carrier strike groups, eleven Burke-class destroyers, a number of Ticonderoga-class cruisers, amphibious assault ships, THAAD and Patriot missile defense systems, multiple squadrons of fighter jets, strategic bombers, and undisclosed assets to the Middle East. The Pentagon expects Iranian proxies to continue to target U.S. troops in the region and has already stated that they will respond "decisively." What's the probability that this escalates into a war between the United States and Iran? PENTAGON: "Between October 17th and the 24th, U.S. and coalition forces have been attacked at least ten separate times in Iraq and three separate times in Syria via a mix of one-way attack drones and rockets... IRGC has reportedly told ships in the Strait of Hormuz that: "Since Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon and the complete lifting of the naval blockade and the withdrawal of American terrorist forces from the Persian Gulf and the region are among the main conditions of the agreement between Iran and the United States. In Kupyansk, Ukrainian forces are continuing to clear the city as the Russian grouping has lost the ability to hold its positions, the Joint Forces communication chief Viktor Tregubov says. I began my working trip to the Odesa region by holding a coordination meeting with the Command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, focused on security issues in the southern region. Primary attention was given to countering constant Russian air attacks with “shaheds” and missiles, as well as readiness to respond to threats at sea. We also addressed our deep-strike operations, strengthening communication systems, mine countermeasure capabilities, and training and equipping naval infantry. We discussed increasing the number of helicopters to enhance air defense in the region and counter drone threats. The military officials presented the technical strike capabilities of the Naval Forces: Neptune and Harpoon missile systems, new-generation unmanned systems and torpedoes. During the meeting, we identified what is still needed to further strengthen the combat capabilities of the Navy. I thank everyone working for the security and strength of the region.
