For the first time, I held a meeting in a five-party format with the leaders of NATO’s Indo-Pacific partner countries. We discussed the rapidly changing situation in the Indo-Pacific region, emphasizing the need for unity and coherence in security matters. I stressed that, in the face of relentless Russian attacks, Ukraine urgently needs to bolster its air defenses with additional air defense and electronic warfare systems. I am grateful to our partners for their unwavering solidarity and support for Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. I also thank Australia and New Zealand for their announced defense packages. We appreciate this crucial assistance for our country and our people.

In Tallinn today. Ahead of the Ukraine – Nordic-Baltic Summit, I met with the Prime Minister of Finland, Petteri Orpo. We discussed the work in Europe to develop anti-ballistic defense capabilities, as well as the preparation of an agreement in the Drone Deal format. The teams are working, and the main thing is that there be more protection in Europe. Special attention was given to our needs in strengthening air defense, security challenges in the region, and diplomatic work to achieve a dignified peace. I informed the Prime Minister about our contacts with Europeans and Americans. I am grateful to the Government, the people, and all of Finland for supporting Ukraine – above all, for all the military packages and contributions to the PURL initiative. Importantly, Finland is ready to continue helping.

I am pleased to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul. We emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between Türkiye and the Kurdistan Region. We also discussed efforts to form a new federal cabinet. We both hoped that the new federal cabinet will promote peace and stability in Iraq, serve all communities without discrimination, and resolve issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government on the basis of the Constitution. On the peace process and the disarmament of the PKK, I reiterated my support for the process, and we stressed the importance of continuing the efforts to ensure its success and completion.
