I think it is very interesting that he chose to share this video even though his naan is undercooked despite cooking for so long that the sun went down. White ppl often expect participation awards just for trying, and looking at his comment section he got the praise he wanted.

To ppl coddling this grown man & calling me a bitch: It’s not like he unearthed some ancient schematics for making an ancient contraption no one has seen for centuries, nor is it plausible that he’s never eaten good naan. I’d respect him more if he admitted his naan came out bad

I am sorry some of you have never heard of “mediocre white man confidence”

As a Mexican-American, I can tell you your pico de gallo has way too much onion in it. But I won’t mock or discourage you for trying to make it because I’m not like you.

I don’t understand this? It’s just a person trying something new and fun and trying to create some delicious food? Shouldn’t we be encouraging people to branch out of the bubbles we expect them to be?

He fucked up the naan, but this reaction is worse. He's trying a traditional method that's authentic to a different culture, he's humble and respectful enough to show he's learning, and he admits he made mistakes. So we are bullying him for not making restaurant quality naan?

pretty sure it’s just a fellow human being trying to be creative/enjoy a new experience 👍 hope this helps

There is nothing wrong with this.

Just gonna leave this here

He’s serious. But luckily there are Desis in his comments trying to help 😭
