I am disappointed with Varkala Beach. Goa is far better.

When there were only foreign tourists coming in, it was clean. Now there are lot of people from North, who dont care about the cleanliness. Many go there just to damage the beauty of the beach.

I have seen more south indian people especially kannada than north indian people.

The situation was vastly different prior to the massive influx of domestic tourists.

Varkala is really good, but overcrowding is killing the place. From pollution to heckling women, the place is losing its charm

So tourists will come, government responsibility to take care to clean or fine people who do this

Because of the long weekend this time, there were too many people who travelled to Varkala, this was not the case when I visited. Infact the beaches were super clean

Varkala was good when it's visibility was limited to foreign tourists. Anyway Kerala's beaches with unpredictable marine conditions and unstable geological structures are not a good spot for tourism. It's made for trade.

Varkala is boring and soul-less. It appeals to the Euro tourists disinterested in culture, and just looking for a beach, booze and parties.

It's raining and the rivers carry garbage which eventually flows to the sea, due to strong waves the garbage is thrown on the beach, even if you clean every single piece of garbage, the beach will look littered the very next day.

Ruined in the last few years (after Covid) by neighbours ( check the most common vehicle registrations there) and not maintained by the locals ofcourse once the going got tough. Need government intervention, lost hope on the locals to control the crowd from neighbouring states

Problems when tourists & state over exploit its tourist locations, add-on a sincere lack of civic sense & every place in India would look ugly.

Lots of tourist from border Tamilnadu districts like Nagarcoil and Kanyakumari..you might also see foreigners picking up the waste and disposing....
