Absolutely correct. Having talked to him a few times, and feeling that I know him at some level, Putin is at heart an insecure, small man who still feels that he is wearing shoes that are way too big. He is no strategist, has low knowledge of the world around him and only knows office tactics plus the brutality he learned as a young KGB apprentice. Never accomplished much as an officer but excelled in the ancient dark Russian arts of corruption, oppression and conspiracies, with the final goal of enriching himself and hopefully humiliating his opponents.
