I asked 6 agents in two conditions (parallel v/s sequential) to create the same tower defence game 👇 LLMs are known to have mode collapse, i.e. if you have multiple parallel runs on the same prompt, you get very similar responses. Is there a way to increase diversity? Yes,... it turns out that if you do such multiple runs sequentially, instead of in parallel. (Plus for each sequential run, append results from previous runs and instruct the LLM to create something different from before.) I did this quick experiment to explore parallel v/s sequential runs for diversity. Given the same prompt to build a tower defence game, sequential runs had a much higher diversity and innovation v/s parallel runs. Check out this (AI-generated) video for gameplay clips. The sequential cohort created interesting new dynamics and visual style, while parallel ones all collapsed to similar colors and orbital style dynamics.show more

An important distinction: parallel output does not necessarily mean independent thinking. In business workflows, diversity may come less from adding more agents and more from giving them different roles, constraints and evaluation criteria.

Tracks that sequential wins. Parallel copies on one prompt sample the same mode, so N agents give one answer N times. Diversity has to come from each agent seeing the others' work or a different starting context. More heads only help if they aren't reading the same page.

The sequential condition is doing more than adding context. Each prior game becomes a negative prompt for the next one. Apparently agents need peer pressure to develop taste.

How to build a 1-person AI company that: - Runs locally - 100% open-source - No human employees, all agents - Real-time collaboration via email Multi-agent orchestration is not new. Plenty of frameworks already let agents hand off tasks, run in parallel, and talk to each other. So the interesting question is not whether agents can collaborate. It is what structure you use to make them collaborate. The common approach is to wire a graph of nodes and edges and reason about the plumbing yourself. It works, but you are learning a new abstraction just to describe who does what. There is a coordination structure we have trusted for a hundred years already: an organization. Every company runs the same way. People have roles, roles have reporting lines, and work moves up and down that chart without anyone relaying each message by hand. Map that onto agents and the whole thing gets intuitive. You lay out an org chart, each agent fills one role, you talk to the person at the top, and the org sorts out the work between them. You already know how a company works, so you already know how to run one here. There is no new abstraction to learn. That is exactly what Alook does. Each agent is a live Claude Code or OpenCode session with a defined role, a reporting line, and its own email inbox. The agents coordinate over email, the same way a team would. And it all runs locally through a runtime on your own machine, so nothing leaves your setup. You bring your own agent too. Claude Code and Codex both work, and if you would rather stay fully open source and local, OpenCode works the same way. To show how this feels in practice, I set up three agents as a small sales team. Vi is the one I talk to. I hand Vi a goal, and Vi routes the work down the chart. Neile runs prospect research. Vi passes the target criteria, and Neile reports back a ranked list of names, roles, and companies, each with a suggested angle and a confidence score. Lliane runs outreach. Vi hands over the messaging angle and follow-up cadence, and Lliane reports back on emails sent, responses received, and any deal that needs escalation. I never relay a message between them. Seedance 2.5 is finally available in the US, but something feels off. I'm running comparisons to 2.0 and 2.5 is performing worse in most of my tests so far. Same start frames, references, and prompts. Multiple runs of each. 2.5's motion coherence, prompt adherence, visual quality, and sound all appear to be regressions. Is this just launch scaling issues? Judge for yourself:

THIS IS HOW A SENIOR ENGINEER ACTUALLY SCALES THEMSELVES WITH CLAUDE CODE the biggest change with AI isn't coding faster. it's where you actually spend your time now. more detailed prompts, more code review, more planning, less typing, etc. here's the workflow: this guy has been shipping code since the days of cgi and perl. he uses a compound engineering plugin that runs 5 separate agents on every task. one brainstorms, one plans the technical implementation, one executes, one reviews, one checks different verticals. every step is documented in markdown files. it's slow and way more waiting. but the output quality is way higher because each agent is focused on one thing. then the REAL multiplier is in git worktrees if Claude Code made you 10x faster, worktrees multiplies that again depending on how many agents you can manage in parallel his team runs 4-8 Claude Code sessions at the same time across different worktrees with each one working on a separate task. the skill is managing multiple AI agents in parallel without losing track, that's the next evolution of engineering
