I asked students at UCLA about slavery. Only one got every answer right. UCLA is a top university. This is why young Americans hate the West.

I asked 15 UCLA students four questions: 1. When did slavery start? 2. Who started it? 3. How did Europeans get African slaves? 4. Who led the first global abolition movement? 27% thought slavery started in America or Europe. Most didn’t know Africans sold other Africans to Europeans - they assumed Europeans conquered the continent by force. Only one student could name the British Empire as the leader of abolition. I don’t blame them. I didn’t know these facts until a few years ago either. The American education system simply doesn’t teach this. We’re given a selective history that paints victims and villains in black and white - and it’s creating a culture of hostility toward our own civilization. That’s what this video is meant to show.

Longer video coming soon

Do the same thing but with a white interviewer. I'm curious if the reception would be different, with a different messenger.

Thanks to people like you, we start to see different perspectives in the education system. I hope we figure out a way to get this information to the younger generation. There is hope.

You are doing important work, Kaizen. Thank you. Facts are stubborn things:

Why is this tether with speech impediment always on my timeline tap dancing for whites

Because you follow me

Just so I can remind you what you really are under your post

@thatsKAIZEN Totally normal, sane, rational behavior.

@thatsKAIZEN First day on twitter ?

@thatsKAIZEN My brother in Christ, you are a reply guy and there's nothing more cringe on social media than a reply guy.

@thatsKAIZEN So what does that make you since you felt the need to reply to a tweet that had nothing to do with you. 🤡 I’ll wait

Excellent questions and content. But I'm facepalming so hard about the state of education for these current undergrads, attending a supposedly elite university.

The British outlawed the slave trade. Americans went to war to end slavery. One declared it illegal. The other paid in blood to make it morally and permanently indefensible. That difference matters.

I learned this when I was in school in the 90s/00s. I’ll admit I forgot it was the Brit’s who abolished it first but I knew it wasn’t the US. The fact that most of them don’t know this means they intentionally stopped teaching it at some point in the last 25 years.

No one's teaching real history anymore.

I think we currently have a real problem with selective presentism. We judge the history of western nations by the rights & values of modern day, but never hold others to the same level of scrutiny. If you go back 300 years everywhere would have seemed barbaric by 2026 standards.

You'd think a prestigious University, like UCLA, would draw intellectually curious students. Yet the Bible is the most widely read history book in the world, and these students obviously haven't even had the desire to open it and explore a few chapters out of curiosity. Ignorance of history doesn't bode well for the future.

Sad, this is what leads to Idiocracy

Obviously our education system is terrible and it's not just this question. Ask some basic civics questions next.

Slavery is omnipresent throughout history. But that doesn't mean whites are the good guys just because they helped end it. Before that, white people made themselves rich from selling slaves.

Have you told them the democrays are the real nazis?

Perhaps our history education needs a serious upgrade. A worrying trend.

Education system is broke in the West Soros spent decades to do so.

We can throw the truth in front of them all we like, but they won't care. They won't change. For many, the incentive structure of leftism makes them blind to any contradictions in their logic. For the rest, they are true believers, and they want to destroy us.

The fact that you haven’t delineated chattel slavery from slavery is disingenuous and ignorant. Chattel slavery is a distinct and modern form of enslavement that originated in EUROPE in the 15th century. You look like a simp working for yt approval.

Let’s talk about delineation from flat blackness next. How dare this tether and his ilk come from a craphole country, exploit benefits for FBA just to spit in our faces? Deportations now!

*Borrows Mic Did you know that if you take one million of the 11 million children in the United States and educate them at an elite level, while teaching their parents trades with the only requirement being that after college they go back to their communities to work for a few years, the process will effectively end childhood poverty in the USA in 36 years according to simulations based on current and future economic trends with a compounding rate of 10 percent? *Drops Mic *Picks up Mic and hands it back respectfully Gut reactions? All I am asking is that you join the conversation, give us one shot I promise you will not be disappointed.

Slavery is embedded in every social hierarchy. Wherever there's a society, a community, or a tribe, there are those at the top and others at the bottom. Today, the lower class serves as the system's modern slaves. The key difference is the illusion of freedom—people earn salaries and enjoy certain liberties, making them believe they are free. In the past, enslaved individuals also received shelter and food in exchange for their labor. Now slave trade, the trafficking of human beings to benefit others financially, is a different conversation.

Thank God for all people who refuse to be brainwashed or used for mischievous purposes

If people knew more history. That’s why it isn’t taught to our kids anymore. We used to get REAL history from grade school on up but not anymore. Uneducated people are easier to control.

@NancyRPearcey I know someone who was fired as junior faculty at an elite private college because she told the students that slavery predated the Colonial period and wasn’t invented in America. This wss in the 1990s. No one teaches true history more than once.

Big hint: Slavery is talked about in the bible. Romans had slaves, Greeks had slaves, Egyptians had slaves. It was everywhere, and mentioned constantly throughout history.

You asked all these slavery comparison questions yet did not include anything single question on how chattel slavery was different than what everyone else was doing

The definition of propaganda is when a selective narrative of history is taught in order to push forward a political agenda. That’s what’s being taught in schools. I was taught this too. I did my own reading outside school to supplement my understanding. Most don’t.

Kaizen, even with this historical clarification, the evils of slavery in the United States are not lessened. Not sure what your objective here is. To lessen the historical “evilness” of slavery in the US?

You are a shame
