I asked this question on Democracy Now and hope to get an answer: Why do all human rights organizations like Amnesty and Human Rights Watch, as well as environmental orgs like Greenpeace, completely ignore the greenwashing of ethnic cleansing in their communication around COP29?

I have read the 74-page Human Rights Watch report on the human rights situation in Azerbaijan—there is not a single mention of Armenians.

The same goes for Amnesty’s report and their communication during COP29, even though, during the conference, Azerbaijan was looting the homes of Armenians in direct violation of the decision of the International Court of Justice.

And what about climate justice and indigenous rights, dear friends at Greenpeace? I am deeply disappointed. Maybe you should rename your organization? It’s not Greenpeace—it’s green washing.
