You'll lose that bet. I've done it. Never as smooth as her and never more than 15 off but there's no better feeling. Butter water on a river is the absolute best skiing you'll find.

I can do one better. I used to barefoot, jump and strap doubles. I was on a show skiing team when I was younger. I stopped barefooting when my ass hit me in the nose on a particularly bad wipe out.

I grew up waterskiing like this on lakes in Central Florida.

We put empty milk bottles with rope and anchors on two lines on the lake as a slalom course ! Now, I need a new hip !

Actually, I have slalom skied several times, Admittedly not as cleanly as her. But the glass-like water she's on isn't easy to find. Perhaps it has to do with being from MN where waterskiing was invented. I tried it once on the ocean and fell on my ass, because of swells.

I grew up on a small lake and we would be up by sunup during the Summer every Morning to do pulls like this. Three of us would cycle through sets till the so called boaters woke up and turned the lake into a mad house free for all. Then we would put our boat away and go play other stuff.
