I started my first company less than a month after my daughter was born. People thought I was crazy (maybe I was). But I'd had this idea stuck in my head and I couldn't let it go. So I built Autoblocks while learning how to be a dad at the same time. Then last year, right around the time we found out we were having our second, I went through something that changed how I think about time: a health situation that was serious enough to make me question whether I'd get to watch my kids grow up. Fortunately, I'm past it now and healthier than ever. But it rewired something in me. I shut down Autoblocks. Not because it wasn't working - we had real customers, real traction. I shut it down because life got short and I needed to build something that mattered more to me. My daughter is three. My son is six months. I want to be there for as much of this as I possibly can. And I think for the first time in my career, the technology exists to make that possible. That's why we built Clutch. Not just because AI employees are a massive opportunity - they are. But because I believe the companies that figure out human-AI collaboration are going to give their people something back: time. Time to be with your family. Time to do the things you've been putting off. Time to actually live while you build. We made a short film to try to capture that idea. They truly believe the American people are stupid…they did not reach out to me for comment for this story, they didn’t include me in any party of this story, and they cropped out the black people in the picture of the story. It’s absolutely insane! They cannot stand to see people that believe what we believe HAPPY in this country…they cannot stand it, and they’re scared of it, and they should be scared.”

Look, I know I'm harping on this a lot today, but I can't stop thinking about Occam's Razor here: Why are we not seriously considering that the reason we allegedly have mystery craft that defy the laws of physics but do not have physicists because "the one type of person who could possibly help with this" IS EXACTLY WHO THEY DON'T WANT? Imagine for a moment that they have a crime scene that they are assigning unqualified personnel to. Why would you do that? Because you're trying not to solve the the crime, only to make it LOOK like you are. Why would you not try to solve a crime? Because you already know who did it. But you go through the motions because you don't want anyone to know you know. That raises other questions, of course, like, "did they already solve it a long time ago?" or "did they not need to solve it because they were told how it works by whoever made it?" Maybe I'm wrong. But it feels like the one answer that might answer the question, "Why not do the most obvious thing?"

We should not degrade ourselves to secondary roles – not when we have a chance to be a great power together. We should not accept that Europe is just a salad of small and middle powers, seasoned with enemies of Europe. When united we are truly invincible. Europe can and must be a global force. Not one that reacts late, but one that defines the future. That would help everyone – from the Middle East to every other region in the world. That would help Europe itself because the challenges we face now are challenges to the European way of life where people matter, where nations matter. Europe can help build a better world. Europe must build a better world. A world without war. But for that, Europe needs strength. For that, we must act together – and act in time. And most of all – we must have the courage to act.
